Virtrium LLC - Rick Simmons, President / CEO, rick.simmons@virtrium.com

March 18, 2009 PHOENIX, Arizona - In an effort to market Istaria: Chronicles of the Gifted to a wider audience, Virtrium LLC has released a new subscription option. The new subscription option, titled as a Demo Subscription, provides limited access to Istaria without a subscriber feeling pressured by a time limit.

President and CEO of Virtrium, Rick Simmons commented, "We think there are people out there who would enjoy playing Istaria, but are reluctant because of the time limited trial. The new Demo Subscription allows someone to play a human character for free," continued Rick, "This allows someone who is interested in Istaria to get into the world and at their own pace, explore and get to know Istaria without the regular constraints of a time limited trial."

Istaria offers players a selection of 10 different character races, including the ability to play as a Dragon. The game boasts 50 different classes, and the human character available through a Demo Subscription has access to all but the three Dragon-only classes. Rick commented, "We've found it often takes players longer than two weeks to decide what sort of character they want to commit to. This new subscription type gives them the opportunity to learn what choices they have without feeling like they're on a tight time line."

Players may explore the expansive world and decide to purchase an Istarian home. Both bipedal and dragon characters are able to choose a community to put down roots in. Players are then able to build and rebuild their plot or dragon lair as their character advances in levels. The ability to purchase a plot or lair requires a player to upgrade from the Demo Subscription to a Gifted Subscription, but the time spent playing on the Demo Subscription allows a player to get to know the various communities available for building.

When asked about the reception to the new Demo Subscription, Rick replied, "The program has been out for just a few days and already we're seeing many new players having fun in Istaria, crafting their Special Pants from Flax Spools and slaying whole colonies of spiders. As always, the threat of the Withered Aegis looms and preparations are needed to ensure an effective defense."
