VIRTRIUM LLC ANNOUNCES UPDATED PLAYER COMMUNITIES

July 30, 2012 PHOENIX, Arizona - Virtrium LLC today announced that they have recently released a content update that included a major overhaul of player communities across the land of Istaria.

The ability to own and build on your own plot is a major part of the play experience in Istaria: Chronicles of the Gifted. Players often work in cooperation with one another to build whole communities where they can gather to craft and roleplay in the world of Istaria. And due to the introduction of new plot structures over the last few years, the original minimum size plot was no longer really feasible.

“We took a hard look at player communities across the world of Istaria to determine what plots were selling and what ones were not. From there, we’ve come up with a new “minimum target size” for plots based on a number of factors.” according to Heather Rothwell. “Our goal is to have communities with fewer plots that are larger in size so that each individual player can do more with the plot they own. We want a system where players feel they are getting something they can really take time and build on for both functionality and appearance. And the small plots in the world just weren't making that possible.”

The new minimum size for plots is around 6400 meters as opposed to the old minimum of 1600 meters. And while there is still more work to be done to increase plots to this size, this update takes a large step to attaining that goal.
